Three friends: an interior decorator, a painter, and a theatre set designer, opened a store to showcase their fabric designs and interior decorations. Unique to Paris, the trio became known as “Merchants of everything with keen sense of beauty,” and the city fell in love with their luxurious perfumed candles that matched their fabrics and unique scents. Word travelled. Cachet grew. The perfumery became legendary.
Today, Diptyque candles have become the most coveted in the world, their fragrances, modern-day cult classics.
Each fragrance expresses a moment, an exquisite place: a field in Provence in summer, a warm evening with the family at home, a garden in full bloom covered with morning dew.
